Over-Expectations from the Player
The expectations from the club have risen manifolds this season after signing the six-time Ballon d’Or winner. Similarly, there are a lot of expectations from Lionel Messi after completing his transfer.
People want to see how the player performs in this star-studded team. The club is already being considered the favorites to win the UEFA Champions League trophy without even competing in a game this season. All of this would lead to additional pressure for the player.
We have seen Lionel Messi fail to perform in the Argentinian jersey before due to too much pressure and this may again come and bite the Argentine wizard.
