Jasprit Bumrah, the star Indian pacer was on fire with the ball against Kolkata Knight Riders. He took a five-wicket haul for MI. But, still ended up on the losing side due to the poor performance coming from the batting unit. However, he reaped lots of praise from every nook and corner of his fans. Meanwhile, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh also joined the bandwagon.

Harbhajan Singh Happy With Jasprit Bumrah’s Performance against KKR

Jasprit Bumrah looked at his peak in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. He first dismissed KKR’s settled batsman Nitish Rana, who was playing at a score of 43 runs. Later on, he managed to take wickets of dangerous Andre Russell, Sheldon Jackson, Pat Cummins, and Sunil Narine.

It was due to his brilliant bowling effort that MI managed to restrict KKR at a nominal score of 165 runs. But, Mumbai Indians ended up losing as they were dismissed at a score of 113 runs in stipulated 17.3 overs. Also, Bumrah became the second bowler after Umran Malik took a five-wicket haul and still finished on the losing side in the match.

Harbhajan Singh was amazed at the performance of the star Indian pacer. He took to his official Twitter handle and shared a post that read,’ Once a king, always a king’: Harbhajan hails Bumrah for his five-for against KKR.

From Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan has scored 51 runs off 43 balls studded with 5 boundaries and 1 six. The five-time IPL winners suffered their 9th defeat of the tournament in 11 IPL games. And, officially they became the first side to get knocked out of the tournament.
