Kuldeep Yadav IPL
Kuldeep Yadav was a member of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL in 2012 and was picked up by the Kolkata Night Riders IN 2014. He played for KKR in the Champions League Twenty20 in 2014.
In January 2018, KKR again signed him at the 2018 IPL Auction for Rs.5.8 crores. He did not have a decent outing in the IPL 2019, where he could take only 4 wickets in 9 games and scoring 12 runs. He broke down during the KKR Vs RCB game at the Eden Gardens as Moeen Ali went after him hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes in his last over. He could not play any more IPL matches in the 2019 edition after that match.
Kuldeep Yadav International Career
Kuldeep Yadav emerged as the 3rd Indian bowler to take a hat trick on September 21, 2017, in a One-Day encounter. He was the 3rd bowler do that after Kapil Dev and Chetan Sharma. He did that Vs Australia at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens on 21 September 2017.
Kuldeep was called in the Indian Cricket Team to feature in October 2014 against the West Indies, but could not be included in the playing XI. He was further added to India’s Test Team in February 2017 for a solitary match against Bangladesh. But he made his Test debut Vs Australia on 25 March 2017 at Dharamsala. He took 4 wickets in the 1st innings.
Yadav is also the first Indian left-arm wrist spin bowler to play for India in Test Cricket. He is also the 3rd bowler to claim a four-wicket haul in Test Cricket on debut. He was selected in the ODI Team of India that was touring West Indies. He made his ODI debut against Windies on 23 June 2017. But he was not able to bowl a single ball in this match because the game was called off due to rain after Indian batting in the 1st innings. He was finally able to bowl in the 2nd game of the Series and took 3 wickets. His T20 International for India was Vs the West Indies on 9 July 2017.
Kuldeep claimed his first fifer (5 wickets haul) on 3 July 2018 in a T20. He was also the first left-arm wrist spinner to have claimed 5 wickets in a T20 game. He did that against England. In the process, he also emerged the 3rd Indian bowler after Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Yazuvendra Chahal to claim a fifer in a T20 game.
During the 1st One-Day match Vs England, he took his first ODI 5 wicket haul on 12 July 2018. He also went on to set a new record for registering by being the best-left arm spin bowler of any type in One-Dayers by returning with the figure of 6/25. He even broke Shahid Afridis’ record and recorded the best ever blowing figures in ODIs by a spinner.
When it comes to Test Cricket, he grabbed his first 5 wickets haul Vs West Indies on 6 October 2018.
He had a great showing against the Aussies in the India Tour of Australia in 2018/19 in the T20 rubber. He saw a huge jump of 20 places to get to the 3rd position (career-best) in the MRF ICC T20 Bowlers Rankings as of 26 November 2018.
