Jon Rahm was born to Edorta Rahm and Angela Rodriguez in Barrika town quite north of Spain. He has an elder brother named Eric Rahm. His father, Edorta encouraged him to move to the US for golf. He started training for golf and earned a scholarship in Arizona State University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

In college, Rahm won a total of 11 golf tournaments and was placed second just behind Phil Mickelson’s all-time 16 collegiate wins record.
